what Luke's doing at 6 months:
- 20 lbs 4 oz, 27"
- we decided to break up his shots so instead of the usual 6, he got 4. he'll get the other 2 at his 9 month well baby.
- bf'ing is such a chore. he's easily distracted and sometimes would rather just be nosey than sit down and enjoy a good meal.
- he had his first try at solids. avocado. yum! actually, no, he was a little taken aback by it but willingly gave it a fair couple of tries.
- he can sit alone for minutes now, maybe even 7-10, laughing, giggling and swaying about
- ^ since he feels so independent now, laying down if for the birds! he HATES it! he likes to be held or sat up.
- eh, he can still do without tummytime, and though, at 5 months he spent 2 days rolling around... he hasn't done it much since!
- he has such a personality! he loves laughing and giggling with daddy and loves to play hide-n-go-seek with mommy. we have our roles, and it's obvious that luke knows what they are.
- he communicates now by "yelling" or "pushing things away" when he's not happy. Up until now he's been a very non-fussy/non-demanding boy. Those days are gone.
- i LOVE when we sit him in his bumbo and he throws everything off his tray table in frustration, shows what a stubborn little boy he already is.
- he still battles daily problems with clogged tear ducts :( he has super-sensitive skin so the skin around the eye area is always irritated :( every single photo is photoshopped (we *think* we've been seeing an improvement over the last week but don't want to hold our breath). he just got a referral (from the ophthalmologist) to see the pediatric ophthalmologist (hello! why didn't he see her to begin with?!)
- he sleeps 9-10 hours every night and takes 1-2 hr naps throughout the day. His wakeful period is still only an hour or so, my sleepy little boy.
- wearing size 9-12 months, size 3 diapers.
i'll be taking his 6 month pics today so will update with those by tonight. and here's a teaser pic of his first solids experience. more to follow :)

I'm a wife to the most kind and loving husband ever, a mother to two of the most beautiful baby boys you'll ever meet (Lucas, DOB 8/29/09 and Logan, DOB 12/20/11), a children's social worker by day and a photographer by night (more like, weekend). I love to bake and only cook because we need to eat. If I relied on my dear hubby to cook for us, we'd be eating bean and cheese burritos or quesadillas for dinner every night! There are so many things that I love, but most importantly, I love being a wife and mother and this is the place where I can document our life, mostly in photographs, today.
that is an adorable picture; can't wait to see the rest!
