7 months old...

and still no teeth!! he seems to be getting so big but yet has barely started sitting up and still hasn't cut his first tooth (it's totally ok, we can wait for him to grow up!).

it's amazing how different we are with anticipating Loges growth from how we anticipated Luke's! I hold my breath, hoping I don't find any, every time i check for teeth. we weren't even trying to sit him up until someone asked (and quite frankly, he's been sitting up in his bath tub on his own, only minimally supported by the little triangle in the tub).

maybe it's different this time around, at least for me anyway, because i'm gone so much, unlike with Luke, I got to stay home with him for the first 10 months of his life! i want to keep Loges small, my baby, and now his limbs hang out of y arms when I cradle him, and he engages with us, and babbles, and laughs effortlessly with the simplest smile.

at 7 months, Logan loves to:

- sleep through the night (8:30 pm - 6ish am)
- fall asleep on mommy and daddy's bed
- sleep with a burp cloth and pacifier
- cuddle
- roll over from back to front and front to back (no more laying on the bed for you, Loges!)
- watch (and giggle/squeal with delight) while his big brother plays
- giggle at just the sight of his big brother (it's pretty hilarious, Luke won't even be paying any attention to him and Logies just squeals and giggles, i'm sure trying to get Luke's attention.)
- take a bath
- babble "dada"
- play with mommy's phone and the remote
- drool, but no teeth!
- blowing raspberries

and he's not so much a fan of:

- taking long or regular naps (kinda makes his own schedule, which is about two short, one long nap daily)
- eating solids/trying new solids (except for bananas mixed with avocado, his favorite!)
- us leaving the room when he's hungry or tired

Logies is such a calm, well-natured baby. he rarely cries and is easily entertained. he's such a low-maintenance baby that on occasion we might even forget he's there! he's just a JOY to cuddle and play with. he's really such a good balance to his feisty, active big brother! we can't wait for him to get just a little bit older so he can play with his big brother (and boy, he'd better watch out and learn to play hard to survive!!).

i never knew if it was possible to love another like i do Luke, and yes, it seems my heart has doubled in size! i couldn't imagine a life without our Logies <3 and here are a few photos i took last night (iso was at 25,600!!). it's amazing how his facial expressions completely change his looks! when he smiles he's so much his uncle, Eric and when he's not smiling, he's all Dad!

Unrealistic Expectations

A friend told me today that i have unrealistic expectations of the things i can do... she's absolutely right! i can't keep up... i'm overwhelmed, over committed, over tired, overwhelmed (did i say that already?!). my first baby is going to be three next month and while i'm busy planning his birthday party, my littlest one is growing like a weed at seven months already, right under my nose!!! i still haven't taken Logan's 5, 6 or 7 month photos, lol, i think i kinda missed the window on the 5 and 6 month ops, wouldn't you say ;) i'm secretly crying inside... but realistically, i'm just too busy. i have a few snapshots here and there that will have to suffice but there goes my idea for his first year baby book :(

maybe i'll wrap up the next few photo-biz sessions i have coming up and take a break from photographing for pay. i need to remember why it is i picked up a camera in the first place... and spend a little more time with my family. i miss my mom. and my grandma. and my sister. and... the list goes on.

i need a duplicate copy of myself so i can be in two places at once. i'm tired. i'm tired of being tired.

i love my life but i need to slooooooowwwwwww down. pray for me, please.

and while i'd love to share a few recent photos, i can't.. because i haven't picked up the camera since Disneyland two weeks (maybe three??) ago!!!

It's a Monday post..

it's been awhile, i've been busy. i'm down a pound, which is a huge surprise considering i went to vegas and drank like there was no tomorrow, have stopped breast feeding, haven't worked out (my foot is finally better so i took my butt to the gym this morning), and basically haven't been eating like a healthy person! eating healthy is such a chore for someone who hates grocery shopping, doesn't have time to cook and has a hubby that hates the color green/vegetable!

just got out of the shower and the little one is waking for his morning feeding so gotta run... but leave you with these.... a couple from July 4th.

my doll baby

my crazy, bully boy

later exhausted from all the bullying ;)

and a semi-decent one of me with my tired bebe

Eeek! Kid in a Candy Store!

Better yet, kid in a Disneyland candy store! Because that's where we're going tomorrow, ugh, today!!! The hubs and I are beyond excited, beyond!! It's amazing what having children will do to you.. Because crowds, the heat and lines aren't my thing and just three short years ago I would've told you that people are CRAZY for buying into the whole Disneyland hype! Well ha! Here I am, eatin' my words... Again!! And boy do they taste so good ;)

And better yet, I'm taking my camera (yipppppeeee), so I'll be back with photos! We might spend all our time in Cars Land but hey, whatever my baby wants to do, we're good. We can't wait to see the joy and excitement in his face when she sees Radiator Springs come to life!! Side note - I'll have to come back and share a pretty funny story when I have more time, regarding Luke getting on the rides, but for now, I need to get to bed. That is if my excitement can subside just enough for me to relax a little to be able to drift into a Disney-filled slumber, ha!

Eeek! Did I mention how over-the-moon excited I am?! I am! I am!!
