NOT! wouldn't you know this sweet little innocent face turned cranky, crying baby ALL night long?! it's true. he must've been building up his cries for three months and saving them all for tonight! the boy that never, ever cries (didn't i JUST say that in the post below?!) had to go and PROVE ME WRONG, pull me out of dinner (at our recent favorite STACKED) and scream his bloody little head off in the car (just me and him) for 15 minutes straight. i thought i was going mad.. but nope, HE was going mad!
and then my crazy hubby talked me into running into costco (me = starved, Logan = asleep after a short two minutes of movement in the car + white noise blaring)... which then, "running into" quickly turned into an hour-long mission with me driving the boys home, BOTH boys screaming their bloody little heads off (Logan = because he's NOT an angel baby and Luke = because someone killed his kitten. ok, no, because he thought i left his daddy, abandoned at costco!). it was all i could do from driving off a cliff (good thing i live in LA where there, luckily, happens to be a shortage of those!).
so, 15 minutes home = two screaming boys, one almost bald mommy.. we get up to the condo (lucky, Luke, i almost left his little screaming butt in the elevator - haha, j/k, don't report me ;/), i send Luke to his room for screaming like a mad man, take Logan out of the carseat (still screaming) and put him on the bed... INSTANT SILENCE!! i mean, the kid had the GALL to squirm and smile in delight at me almost as soon as I put him down!!! a complete 180, seriously. no joke. the kid was all smiles and giggles. which, then, makes me feel bad for poor little lukey, still screaming his bloody little head off in his bedroom.
i call luke over to my bedroom, sit him on the bed, take off his sweater and shoes, wash his hands... all while he's still screaming, can't-even-catch-his-breath-nose-running screaming, "i want my daddy back! i want my daddy back!" i mean geez, you'd think i just slaughtered his father in front of him. i talk to him in a semi-soft whisper (ten levels less than the voice i previously just used without success), "Luke, you're being ridiculous, why are you crying?" "{huh} i {huh} don't {huh} know {huh}." and this goes on like this for the next 25 minutes.. the LONGEST 25 minutes of my life, until trev gets home.
and now i have slaughtered trev! ha! seriously the most ridiculous night, ever, I'm waiting for Ashton Kutcher to jump out and punk me!
the joys of parenthood ♥
and now looking at the photo again, yes, it's very clear to see that this, in fact, is no face of innocence!

I'm a wife to the most kind and loving husband ever, a mother to two of the most beautiful baby boys you'll ever meet (Lucas, DOB 8/29/09 and Logan, DOB 12/20/11), a children's social worker by day and a photographer by night (more like, weekend). I love to bake and only cook because we need to eat. If I relied on my dear hubby to cook for us, we'd be eating bean and cheese burritos or quesadillas for dinner every night! There are so many things that I love, but most importantly, I love being a wife and mother and this is the place where I can document our life, mostly in photographs, today.
