this past month has been a big developmental growth spurt for luke. he's talking so much more now, he surprises us daily! his first big word was "din-a-surh." really, he said that before mommy! of course, right?! he's in love with all things dinosaur. especially the nick jr. show Dino Dan, lol, cracks us up how attentive he is to that (and only that) show! other words in his vocab: mommy, daddy, down, crawkers, duck, quack, bird, papa, whoa, and tons more that i can't think of right now. oh, he loves to shake his head "no" while saying, "no, no, no." at first we had no idea where he picked that up from, until i heard myself, "Luke! No! No! No! No!!" lol.
he's big into nodding for "yes" and shaking his head for "no." he still loves baths, LOVES! and is a great eater. he eats any and all food and it makes my life easier :)
he loves to read books and play rough with me and hubbs. he's big into biting when he gets excited (hence my, "Luke! No! No! No!!!" lol). he loves to give hugs, kisses, butterfly kisses, eskimos kisses and pats on the back.
he naps well for my mom and mil, but still gives us a hard time. on the weekends he may only take 1 nap a day (usually it's two during the week) because he just wants to stay us and play with us.
he's non-stop.
he throws things, jumps off of things, hits, bites, smacks, whacks, you name it! he's a boy's boy, definitely! he'll mow you over if you stand still too long.
we're so excited for what the next few months have in store for us and his development, i know it's going to go by in a flash!
and here are a few (haha) recent photos of him.
i'm adding these photos months later (2/01/12). i have a lot of drafts that have never been published so i'll slowing be going back, finishing up and adding photos, for memories sake.

I'm a wife to the most kind and loving husband ever, a mother to two of the most beautiful baby boys you'll ever meet (Lucas, DOB 8/29/09 and Logan, DOB 12/20/11), a children's social worker by day and a photographer by night (more like, weekend). I love to bake and only cook because we need to eat. If I relied on my dear hubby to cook for us, we'd be eating bean and cheese burritos or quesadillas for dinner every night! There are so many things that I love, but most importantly, I love being a wife and mother and this is the place where I can document our life, mostly in photographs, today.
